Training

We consider training a key element to success with Vertance Navigator. We have a multi-level training program designed to familiarize yourself with the features and capabilities of the Vertance Navigator product as well as understanding the organization of data within Made2Manage.

Introductory Classes

Our Introductory Classes will run you through the basics of the Vertance Navigator program. When you complete these two classes you'll be familiar with the core features of the Vertance Navigator program.

Introduction to Vertance Navigator

This class will explain the basics of how to search for data and display it in Vertance Navigaotor. In this class you'll learn:

  • MasterViews and DetailViews
  • Single vs. Multiple record modes
  • Look up Made2Manage Documents using the Quick Select feature
  • Use the Full Select Dialog for advanced data look-up
  • Data Drill-Down
  • Moving, Hiding, and Showing Data Columns
  • Favorites and Recents
  • Item Master and Job Order Related Items

Working with the Grid

Vertance Navigator is designed around an extremely powerful Grid tool. It allows you to view, sort, filter, and analyze data, quickly and efficiently. This class will teach you:

  • Use of the Aggregate Mode
  • Sorting Data
  • Base and Advanced Filtering
  • Grouping Data and subtotals
  • Auto Filter Row feature for searching
  • Find Panel feature

Job Function-Specific Classes

Once you have mastered the basics of the Vertance Navigator program and the organization of the Made2Manage data, we have a series of classes tailored to specific job functions. Each of these classes will focus on real-world examples of how to utilize Vertance Navigator to improve your day-to-day work with Made2Manage data.

Accounting

The Accounting training module will focus on the AR and AR Invoice MasterViews. It will also focus on the costing features of other MasterViews such as Job Order Costing, Costed Bills of Material, etc.

Production

The Production class highlights the use of the Item Master, Job Order, and supporting DetailViews to better understand how product is moving through your factory. We will focus on common tasks such as reviewing Job Order status, Material Availability, Inventory levels, usage history, etc. The drill-down features of Navigator will be reviewed to show you how you can quickly chase down the source of production or supply chain bottlenecks.

Purchasing

This class focuses on the Vertance Navigator features which support Purchasing. We will review the Vendor, Purchase Order, Receiver, AP Invoice, and Item Master modules and teach you how to use these for common Purchasing Tasks.

Sales Administration

This class will focus on Sales Order administration and related tasks. We'll review the Vertance Navigator features which will help you quickly review orders, check Inventory and Job Order status, and respond quickly to customer inquiries.
